Ellis Bridge is the first bridge built in Ahmedabad. It is the century old heritage bridge. The original steel bridge of bowstring arches is been preserved as a heritage landmark. The bridge was reopened in 1999 and it was renamed as 鈥淪wami Vivekananda Bridge鈥?but many of the people still called it as Ellis Bridge.
